Restorative Yoga Teacher Training

2024 dates to come

New York, NY

Restorative yoga is conscious supported rest that offers space to connect into your true self. It is a practice that guides your physical body towards ease using props that aid in releasing tension and deepening the breath. It provides space to connect with spirit and remember who you were before the world told you who you needed to be.

Restorative yoga is an antidote to the stress and anxiety related to roles and responsibilities we perform to live in a world where value is perceived by productivity, wealth, and fame. Since 2012, scientific studies have shown that restorative yoga measurably decreases depression and anxiety. When we pause and practice presence, we remember the beauty of our whole self and find joy in our true nature.

Restorative yoga does not require any previous yoga experience, special props, or special clothes. You can practice while wearing something comfortable, you can use household items like pillows, cushions, and blankets as props, and once you learn a few poses you can guide yourself in the practice.

This training is perfect for those who want to learn the techniques, philosophy and power of restorative yoga.

“If you are rested and relaxed, all living beings will profit from your relaxation and energy. This is the most basic kind of peace work.”

- Thich Naht Hanh

A Restorative Yoga Blessing

I draw closer to me and love myself by resting deeply.

When I rest, I receive care and feel whole,

my mind stops planning for the future and replaying the past,

my whole being experiences spacious presence.

My body lays on pillows and is cocooned by blankets,

I remember I am held and supported by the earth.

I allow the roles and responsibilities I carry in the world to slip away,

and invite my spirit to rest, within who I truly am.

When I am well and rested, I embody love.
